Broken fingers won't keep Harrell out (AP)
Texas Tech officials confirm that quarterback Graham Harrell had surgery to repair nine breaks in two fingers of his non-throwing hand but won't miss any playing time. Tech spokesman Chris Cook confirmed the surgery Monday. He didn't have details on whether Harrell's fingers got caught in a facemask or slammed against a helmet in Saturday's 35-28 win over Baylor.

Clemson's Swinney to stay on as coach (AP)
Interim coach Dabo Swinney will become Clemson's permanent coach, according to a school official close to the football program. The official spoke on condition of anonymity Monday morning because an official announcement has yet to be made. Athletic director Terry Don Phillips was expected to introduce Swinney as head coach later Monday.
