Soccer College Cup: Wildcats Nip ZipsAfter unplayable field conditions forced Sunday's third-round game between fifth-seeded Akron and Northwestern to be moved from Akron to Evanston, the lower-seeded hosts made good on the gift with a 1-0 upset victory to advance into the College Cup quarterfinals. Elsewhere, Wake Forest hammered Dartmouth, 7-0 and UNC moved on with a 3-2 OT win over Illinois-Chicago.
Division I W. Volleyball D-I Tourney Teams AnnouncedThe NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Committee announced today the 64-team field for the 2008 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship. Thirty-one conferences were awarded automatic qualification, and the remaining 33 slots were filled with at-large selections to complete the bracket.

Division II Football D-II Championship: Top Seeds PlantedAgainst a top-seeded Delta State squad that had given the North Alabama its only loss this year, the Lions ran wild, putting up a 55-34 win on a day when all four top-seeded teams fell in the Super Regionals. Second seeds California (Pa.), Northwest Missouri State and Minnesota Duluth will join the Lions in next weekend's national semifinals.
Oklahoma jumped past Texas into the second spot in the BCS Standings and earned a spot in the Big 12 title game after the standings broke a three-way tie atop the Big 12 South.
