Why do you need different corrections for home advantage instead of the traditional 4 points used by other rankings?

Just like each team has its own strength (i.e. there are easy and difficult teams) also each team's home field has its own difficulty (i.e. there are teams easier to visit than others). There are even many teams with a negative home advantage: they are stronger playing away than at their home field.
